Hey, kids! We have some really cool areas here at KCPLKids that you'll want to check out. Let me show you around so you can see what we have to offer. We have pages especially for elementary school students, middle school kids and teen-agers. Even parents and teachers can find helpful information on topics important to them.

Are you interested in science? Click on the school building from the home page, and check out our science experiments. While you're in our "School," you can find out about the scholarships offered to area high school students. Teachers are welcome here, too. Looking for some help with science and energy topics? Find out how KCP&L supports your curriculum-development efforts. Let us help you educate students about our favorite topic -- energy.

Have you ever wondered how electricity is made? Click on the KCP&L power plant, and we'll help you find out! See for yourself how a lump of coal becomes the power that lights your home.

If you're looking for some fun, click on the KCP&L Kids Clubhouse. We have a cool game for you -- and a coloring page, too.

If you love the outdoors or want to learn more about nature, wander around on our Nature Trail. Protecting birds and wildlife is important to Kansas City Power & Light. And we want to help you learn more about our natural environment. You can also find out how to help us protect our earth.

Parents, too, can find something here for them. Click on the home in our neighborhood, and find out about speakers for PTA meetings, club activities and after-school programs. We also have some tips for keeping your family safe around electricity.

Whether you're concerned about safety or the environment, we can help. Whether you're 7 or 77, we think you'll find something in the KCPLKids pages just for you. Enjoy your visit to our neighborhood!
