Few things are more breathtaking than a bald eagle in flight.

Through the efforts of conservation groups, the Audubon Society and companies like KCPL, more people will witness bald eagles and other raptors around the Kansas City metropolitan area.

Want to learn more about some special birds in our hometown? KCPL has developed a set of four bookmarks to help you do just that. These bookmarks give fascinating details about four species KCPL works to protect: bald eagles, peregrine falcons, American kestrels and ospreys. To use these bookmarks, just print them and cut them out. You can paste, glue or tape the two sides together for each bird. You can also punch a hole in the top and put a ribbon through it.

These bookmarks offer many interesting facts, beautiful drawings and, best of all, you can use them to mark your place as you read about all the things around you!

The links to all four of these bookmarks, the Peregrine Falcon, the American Kestrel, the North American Osprey, and the Bald Eagle are below.
